At TDS, we talk a lot about growth but this time, we took a big step away from our usual routines and acted on growing by living it.
Our retreat to Ziba Beach was not just about taking a break, It was about reconnecting with ourselves, with each other, and with the bigger picture of what we’re building as a team.
Real Conversations, Real Learning
One of the highlights for many of us was the talk on Emotional Intelligence (EI) by Mr. Titus Bankole. And honestly, it was not like the usual “training session.” It felt more like a pending conversation that was brought to life, real conversations on how to handle stress, how we communicate effectively, and how we show up for each other at work.
The talk geared towards self-awareness, managing emotions, and understanding others better. The kind of awakening that don’t just make us better professionals, but better colleagues and people.
We spent time talking about business development, but not in a rigid or overly formal way. The session was open, collaborative, and honest. Team members shared their ideas, asked questions, and explored new opportunities together. It reminded us that growth doesn’t come from one person but, from all of us by thinking, contributing, and pushing ideas forward.

The Moments That Really Matter
Some of the best parts of the retreat were the simplest ones like the moments we shared cracking jokes, eating together at the restaurant, laughing during team games, getting to know each other personally, having random gist by the beach, and those moments that just happen when people feel relaxed and connected.
Certainly these memories will stick for a long time. The ones that build trust, break down barriers, and remind us that we’re more than just colleagues.

More Than Just a Retreat
It will not be business as usual, we will carry into our work the energy we have built with us from the retreat, to implement the ideas we shared, the lessons we learned, making the necessary corrections where our efforts have not been impactful, and building on the connections we strengthened.
And if there’s one thing we’re sure of, it’s this: when people feel connected, supported, and inspired, great things happen.
This is just the beginning, we will definitely have a lot to share and learn from the impact of the retreat at Ziba Beach.
What made this experience special is how naturally everything came together, learning, fun, connection, and reflection. We were indeed a family.
At TDS, we are committed to continuous learning, we care about growing, productivity, revenue generation, meeting targets but we also care about enjoying the journey. We believe work should be meaningful, but it should also feel good. And this retreat was a reminder of that balance.
